Messiah-Mates Devotional: Booth Camp with the Lord
Exodus
33:14 (ESV):
“And
he said, ‘My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.’”
Matthew
28:20 (ESV):
“…And
behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Pero more than food, Sukkot reminds us of one big thing: God’s presence is the true ulam ng buhay.
📖 Exodus 33 Remix (Taglish Version)
Boom!
Sagot ni Lord:
“Relax,
Moses. My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
🍇 Matthew Remix: Upgrade Version
Fast-forward to Jesus time. Ang sabi Niya sa disciples:
“Guys, chill. Hindi ko kayo iiwan. Kahit saan kayo magpunta — from Jerusalem to Judea to Samaria hanggang Divisoria — I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
At
dagdag bonus sa Matthew 11:28–29:
“Pagod
na kayo sa life? Burdened by utang, toxic workmates, tsaka traffic sa
EDSA? Come to Me, and I will give you rest. Hindi ako katulad ng MRT
na laging delayed. Gentle ako, lowly in heart, at sureball — you’ll
find rest for your souls.”
🎉 Devotional Punchline: “Booth Camp”
Sukkot = Booths = temporary tents. Ang lesson? This life is like a booth — temporary, fragile, minsan tagpi-tagpi. Pero God’s presence makes it a booth camp, not a boot camp.
Jesus answered:
“Don’t worry, always kasama ako.”
So kahit saan ka — whether nagkakape sa Cubao, nagfa-falafel sa Makati, o nagbabanat ng buto sa probinsya — remember: You’re distinct kasi kasama mo si Emmanuel, God-with-us.
🥗 Kosher Challenge for Messiah-Mates
Next time mag small group kayo, instead of spaghetti with hotdog, try something kosher-ish:
Pita + hummus
Grilled bangus / tilapia
Dates at grapes for dessert
Mango shake with honey
Habang kumakain, remind each other: Presence ni Lord ang tunay na feast.
👉 Takeaway
for Today:
rest.
🙏 Prayer
In Jesus’ Name, the Messiah, Amen.”Nice! Here’s a short Taglish worship chant/cheer for Messiah-mates — parang youth camp hype na swak sa Feast of Booths celebration:
