From Mount Nebo to Mount Glow-Up: Jesus > Better Life

Deuteronomy 34:1:
“Then Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo—pero parang escalator lang sa kanya, one step lang, biglang summit agad! And the Lord showed him the whole land—lahat ng provinces, pati hidden barangays, from Gilead hanggang Dan. Bonus pa, nakita niya future spoilers ng Israel: idolaters, Samson flexing, and even temple projects. All-access vision pass si Moses!”

Matthew 17:2–3:
“And Jesus was transfigured before them—glow-up level 1000, face shining like ring light, outfit whiter than OOTD sa Shopee. And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared, casually talking with Him—parang podcast collab pero live on the mountain.”

Hebrews 11:39–40:
“And all these, kahit verified na ang faith nila, did not receive the full promise yet. Why? Because God had prepared something better for us—para perfect ang experience together, walang FOMO. Jesus > Better Life.”

Devotional Vibes:

Moses got the ultimate spoiler view sa Mount Nebo—nakita niya ang Promised Land, pero di siya nakapasok. Parang ikaw na naka-“Add to Cart” pero di umabot sa 9.9 sale. ๐Ÿคฆ‍♂️

Pero guess what? Fast forward to Matthew 17, Moses is back—pero this time, on a better mountain. Hindi lang siya nakatingin from afar, he’s standing with Jesus, naka-front row seat sa pinaka-glow-up moment ng Messiah. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Hebrews explains the plot twist: lahat ng OG faith heroes, kahit may hall-of-fame status sila, had to wait. Kasi God designed it na hindi sila ma-perpekto without us. Meaning: faith is not a solo game, it’s a group project—and Jesus is the ultimate team leader.

So kung feeling mo left behind ka ngayon, tandaan mo:
Faith sometimes looks like waiting.
God’s promises are bigger than your lifetime.
And the real glow-up is not just land, success, or answered prayer—but JESUS Himself.

Kaya kahit sa mga “Nebo moments” mo—yung kita mo na pero di pa abot, tandaan: Jesus > Better Life.

๐Ÿ™ Reflection Questions:

  1. Have you ever felt like Moses—nakita mo na yung promise pero di pa binigay ni Lord?

  2. How can you shift from waiting for the “land” to waiting on Jesus Himself?

  3. Who are you walking with in faith, remembering na “perfection” comes together, not alone?
